Let’s enjoy World Tourism Day again

With the theme of “Tourism and Green Investments,” World Tourism Day 2023 will be celebrated on September 27. This year we rejoice the importance of tourism and its potential to contribute to a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

Green investments can help to reduce the sector’s environmental footprint and create a more sustainable and inclusive tourism industry. By working together, we can create a more sustainable tourism future that benefits everyone.

According to a report by RateGain Travel Technologies, India’s inbound travel is expected to have a strong momentum till November 2023, with a significant increase in travel during the festive season compared to 2022.

Australia, the US, Singapore, Canada, and the UK are expected to be the top five source markets for inbound travel to India during this period.

There is the strong momentum in inbound travel to India’s hosting of the G20 Summit in Delhi in September 2023, which highlighted India’s tourism potential and the upcoming festive and event season. This includes the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup as well as the upcoming Miss World event which is expected to be hosted in the capital in the period following the cricket tournament.

The sector is bringing back hope and opportunity for people everywhere. Now is also the time to rethink tourism, where it is going and how it impacts people and planet.

Happy reading until we meet next month!
