Travel industry waits & watches while Russia invades Ukraine

With Omicron cases receding, the travel industry expected a roaring back in spring and summer. Across the world, the governments release coronavirus limitations, accepting Covid-19 controllable in everyday life. Just at this juncture, Russia launched a comprehensive invasion of Ukraine, marking a major escalation on the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, continues to influence global travel with increasing disruptions to air service.

According to the travel trade, the struggle has so far not caused any noteworthy influence on bookings, they are ready to change their Eastern Europe and Russia itineraries. 

While indecision remains over the course of the pandemic and government policies on mask mandates and testing requirements for travel, the industry is seeing a strong desire among travellers to take big bucket list trips, particularly to far-flung international destinations and European cities.

Well, travellers are still picking up domestic destinations over international locations. One should do good amount of research if planning for international trips now, the ticket must be flexible, changeable and refundable.

It certainly doesn’t hurt to be optimistic in travel planning for 2022, especially if you’re looking to book trips for the second half of the year.
