Al Bandar Rotana and Al Bandar Arjaan by Rotana proudly announced that they have received a prestigious sustainability award from Johnson Controls during WETEX 2024 in Dubai. The award highlights the hotels’ impressive efforts in environmental conservation, achieving remarkable results like 30% water savings and 40% electricity savings through innovative systems and sustainability initiatives.
Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart building technologies and services, played a key role in this success. Their cutting-edge solutions, including advanced cooling and energy efficiency technologies, have helped organizations in the UAE and worldwide reduce their carbon footprint and optimize resources. This collaboration between Al Bandar Rotana and Johnson Controls demonstrates the power of partnerships in driving sustainable progress within the hospitality industry.
The sustainability project was spearheaded by Mr. Ayman Ashor, General Manager of both Al Bandar Rotana and Al Bandar Arjaan by Rotana. A strong advocate for sustainability, Mr. Ashor worked closely with Johnson Controls to implement the Cooling as a Service (CaaS) project as part of the Rotana Earth initiatives.

In addition to this achievement, Al Bandar Rotana is aiming for the “Gold” category in the Dubai Sustainable Tourism Stamp, an esteemed recognition by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
