From News Services

Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) is set to enhance its infrastructure with the development of a two-million square feet business park and a 775-room hotel near Kempegowda International Airport, announced Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL).

According to BIAL, the biophilic-inspired business park by BACL will feature smart workspaces integrated into a vibrant public realm. Emphasizing a blend of work and leisure, the park aims to meet the diverse needs of businesses and employees, fostering a dynamic environment for growth and collaboration.

Located within the Urban Forest, a verdant oasis at the heart of the development, the project will seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces. An upcoming Metro station in Airport City will ensure convenient access to the business park from the northern side, enhancing connectivity.

The Combo Hotel, a highlight of the expansion, will be one of India’s largest hospitality establishments, offering a total of 775 keys. This collaborative venture between Vivanta (450 rooms) and Ginger (325 rooms) is slated for completion by the end of 2026, catering to both business travelers and tourists.

Adding to Airport City’s appeal is the forthcoming Concert Arena, a pioneering venue within an airport ecosystem in India. With a capacity to host 10,000 attendees, this state-of-the-art arena is set to open within the next few years, positioning itself as a hub for entertainment and cultural events.

Rao Munukutla, CEO of BACL, expressed confidence that these investments will advance their vision of transforming Airport City into a thriving hub for businesses, research and development centers, and Global Capability Centers. With a commitment to sustainability and world-class infrastructure, the initiative aims to foster growth, generate employment opportunities, and drive positive socio-economic impact across the region.
