Even pandemic can’t stand as a barrier in launching hotel schemes.
Plenty of exciting hospitality projects especially in Europe and North America will launch under TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction. Around 255 hotels with 51,392 rooms are slated to be ready in February 2021.
A total of 82 hotel schemes will be seen in Europe, expanding about 12,961 additional keys to the region. Leading the way on a country-by-country basis the UK with 15 projects nearly finished following with eight about to open in France.
The next most active region is North America with 68 launches, among which 55 are in the US. Adding 14,101 extra rooms these 68 hotels will bring on an average of North America’s properties will be significantly larger than Europe’s.
In APAC 59 schemes, 12,523 keys will be opened. The fastest growing hotel market with 18 launches planned will be China’s home leaving back Australia with more than 50 percent.
In 2021 Marriott International, Inc. is expecting to expand its portfolio by opening 100 properties in Asia Pacific. The company celebrated its 800th milestone in 2020 by adding 75 properties to its portfolio. In 2020 alone, 27000 rooms were added to the region’s development process. Adding to it Marriott has signed with the largest brand residence project, close to 4,200 units.
Craig S. Smith, Group President, Marriott International stated, “We have quickly adopted the challenges that rose due to the pandemic and continued to grow. In April 2020 new global industry hygiene standards have launched lucrative and innovative offerings like hyper-localised marketing and sales strategies which will continue to lead us through the recovery”.
With the launch of 8 new properties in Dubai, the Middle East will experience newer 21 hotels with 6,883 keys complete. The other five properties will be in in Doha, helping to claim the UAE and Qatar respectively the distinction of being the region’s busiest countries.
In Africa 20 rear hotel projects will launch, adding 4318 rooms across the continent, while in Latin America five hotels with 606 rooms will open.
