Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort

Markus Krebs has beenappointed as General Manager of Outrigger Reef WaikikiBeach Resort by Outrigger Hospitality Group. Kerbs served as general manager for the AAA Five-Diamond luxury in Dana Point, California with Monarch Beach Resort. He has substantial importance in the luxury segment with more than three decades of hotel experience. Krebs has held senior hotel management positions with a work history spanning four continents in leading leisure and business travel destinations including Germany, California, Chicago and Bangkok.

Island Hospitality

Mark George has been announced as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing by Island Hospitality Management, the third-party management company for select service and upscale extended stay hotels in the USA. Mark will be taking care of the sales and marketing efforts and lead strategies for the entire organisation. Mark has more than 20 years of industry experience. In 2005 he joined Island Hospitality Management as General Manager of the Residence Inn Binghamton. With numerous leadership position Mark has continued to play an integral role on Island Hospitality’s Management.

Brian Young has been announcedas Executive Vice President, Investments and Chief Financial Officer by Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), Atlanta-based, private hotel investment, ownership and Management Company. He has 18 years of experience with Interstate Hotels & Resorts & Aimbridge Hospitality before joining HVMG. He has worked as senior director, finance, culminating with senior vice-president of development and acquisitions.

AHLA

Marilou Halvorsen has been appointed as Vice President of Government Affairs & State Relations by The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). She will be involved in state and local government affairs in the Northeast and focus on enhancing partnerships with state lodging associations. Halvorsen has served as President and CEO forNJ Restaurant & Hospitality Association(NJRHA)since 2012 in New Jersey. She has also servedasDirector of Marketing in Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach & Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, prior to NJRHA, including New Jersey Travel Industry Association.

Tourism Authority of Thailand

Santi Sawangcharoenis being announced as the Director of TAT New York Office by The Tourism Authority of Thailand. With an overall experience of 30 years,she held many leadership positions within TAT itself. To continue cultivating a resilient community of Thailand travel lovers she will oversee many of TAT New York’s initiatives. She had experience in international tourism marketing where she defined leadership roles as Deputy Director in TAT’s Tokyo Office, Director, Guangzhou Office in China and Chief of Development and Promotion Section for ASEAN.

SH Hotels & Resorts

Arash Azarbarzin has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer byStarwood Capital Group, a global private investment firm on real estate and energy to its subsidiary company, SH Hotels & Resorts.Having an experience of 30 years inthe industry, Azarbarzin has played leadership roles at St. Regis Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels, W Hotels and as Founding Memberat SBE hotel group. With international expansion in cities like Paris, London, Saudi Arabia, Copenhagen, Manchester and Toronto and domestic expansion in San Francisco, Miami, Nashville and Kauai he is poised to lead the company to new heights.
